Client: Ministry of Community Development, Culture and the Arts, Trinidad and Tobago

Bringing the Caribbean’s largest cultural celebration online – live, immersive, and unforgettable

CARIFESTA XIV wasn’t just a festival, it was a cultural milestone. Hosted in Trinidad and Tobago, the 2019 edition was the largest in its history, drawing tens of thousands of attendees to Queen’s Park Savannah and hundreds of thousands more across digital platforms. With over 200 events and a region-wide spotlight, it demanded a communications strategy that could match its scale, energy, and significance.

A Dynamic Digital Hub

Royalty Club led the digital charge, delivering the official website and full social media rollout for CARIFESTA XIV. The site featured event schedules, artist lineups, media galleries, travel info, and livestreaming, updated in real time to meet the needs of a fast-moving, multi-venue festival. With thousands of daily users and high mobile engagement, the platform became a central hub for audiences across the region.

Live & Immersive Social Media

Our team led the digital communications strategy, managing CARIFESTA’s Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter channels. We shared daily festival highlights: short videos, Reels, livestreams, behind-the-scenes moments, augmented reality filters, and branded graphic content. Performance spotlights and 360° features kept audiences engaged both on-site and across the Caribbean helping shape the most connected CARIFESTA the Caribbean had ever seen.

Impact & Recognition

CARIFESTA XIV was widely praised as one of the most successful editions to date, with over 35,000 attendees across the main festival days and nightly crowds reaching up to 10,000 at Queen’s Park Savannah. Beyond the physical footprint, the digital reach was equally significant. The official website recorded over 120,000 page views during the month of August, with the Event Schedule, Carifesta TV, and Venue Info sections ranking as top destinations. More than 70% of sessions came from mobile users, reflecting the need for real-time information on the go.

Social platforms saw regional engagement spike across Trinidad and Tobago, Jamaica, Barbados, Guyana, and the wider diaspora. Branded livestreams, daily video content, and interactive stories consistently drove shares, mentions, and direct messages from attendees and viewers alike.
